Founded by myself, Mara Fowler in 2019, I'm passionate about helping you improve your well-being. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, I offer a variety of services and support for your unique journey.
Beyond yoga - I offer a supportive community where those with MS can find strength, relief, and balance through yoga, meditation, and nutrition.

My MS Story
Hi, I'm Mara,
and I'm honoured to share my story with you.
At 43 years old, I have been living with MS for 22 years - but my story begins long before my official diagnosis.

Back in second grade, I was labeled with a learning difference, a label that might have hinted at the MS journey ahead. Despite the struggles, I found solace in sports and the simple joys of childhood. Fast forward to high school graduation in 1996, and I felt invincible, ready to conquer the world. But life had other plans...
Strange symptoms began creeping in – numbness, stiffness, and a pervasive brain fog. I soldiered on, landing jobs and pursuing college degrees, but beneath the surface, something wasn't right.

In 1999, at a party, my body went stiff and numb, a terrifying experience I couldn't explain. It was a wake-up call, leading to a hospital visit and a misdiagnosis of Complex Migraines. The real turning point came in 2000 when a migraine and numbness in my leg sent me to the hospital again. This time, the diagnosis was clear: Multiple Sclerosis.

Receiving that news was like a punch in the gut. I felt alone and scared, grappling with the uncertainty of what lay ahead.
My journey since then has been a whirlwind of treatments, relapses, and moments of profound insight. Through it all, I've navigated various career paths, encountered setbacks, and faced some tough situations but in the midst of it all, I discovered the power of yoga, mindfulness, and movement to manage my MS symptoms. Through trial and error, setbacks and triumphs, I've learned to navigate life with MS, finding strength and resilience in unexpected places.

Now, after two decades of living with MS, I'm here to offer support, guidance and holistic practices to others on their own journeys with MS and other chronic illnesses.

My Yoga Journey
Discovering yoga was a game-changer for me. It wasn't just about stretching and posing; it became a lifeline, offering me tools to navigate the challenges of MS with grace and resilience. Through yoga, I learned to move my body in ways that felt good, to breathe through discomfort, and to build strength where I needed it most – in both body and mind.

With each practice, I felt a sense of liberation, as if I were shedding the weight of my physical limitations and embracing a newfound sense of possibility. Yoga became my refuge, a place where I could find peace amidst the chaos of life with MS.
But yoga wasn't just about the physical benefits; it also transformed my mental outlook. Yoga has made a positive impact on my mental health, offering me moments of tranquility and clarity in the midst of uncertainty. Through mindfulness and meditation, I found a sense of calm and clarity that I had never experienced before. These practices helped me reduce my reliance on pain medications, offering me a holistic approach to managing my symptoms and reclaiming my life.

The confidence gained through my practice has given me the strength to find myself again after a major relapse. I know who I am now and how to embrace my spiritual purpose.

Through our classes and workshops, I offer a safe and inclusive space for people of all abilities to explore the healing benefits of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.

To support those living with MS, I offer a range of services from group yoga classes, to private tuition, and workshops.
My approach integrates movement techniques rooted in yoga traditions, meditation practices, and nutritional guidance, relieving pain and stress, and easing stiffness. Through this holistic regimen, individuals with MS can rebuild muscle and core strength, counteracting the physical toll of the condition, while also learning effective stress-relief methods.
